Using Pory.io to create a quick no-code list and directory app

What is it:

Maker Insight: Very underrated superpower is embedding a Pory table into a Carrd site. It's my favourite no-code hack of the past month.

What did I learn:

1. No-code tools: Evolution of different stacks. Ash used a starter stack was Carrd and Airtable base embeded within the page. Then Ash moved from using Airtable embed within Carrd to embeding Pory.io on the front page of Carrd. This provided a much better experience instead of just using Airtable to embed. I'd recommend that for the increased UX and the small cost this is a no-brainer decision. Pory.io is a very easy to use tool. And whats even better is that it uses Airtable as a database/CMS to hold all your content.

2. No-code tool feature: Pory.io - Pory embeds seamlessly into the Carrd UI. Also what I was delighted to see is how well the filters and elastic search. I tested both and was really pleased with how responsive the search feature was. I tested the search by using one word I found in a random card subtitle and it filtered it perfectly. The category drop down filters also worked well and provided a nice dynamic responsive feel to the presentation that made it super simple to find what I was looking for. 3. No-code tool feature: Pory - pagination - There is an option when using Pory.io to allow only a set number of items to show in the list so that the list does not flow on forever down the page. And you can easily expand it by hitting the view more option. This is a good feature to have as it gives you the option to display more information at the bottom of the page.
